Dr. Osama Al-Sayed Al-Azhari, Minister of Endowments, issued a decision to reconstitute the Supreme Council for Reciter Affairs at the Ministry of Endowments, as part of the ministry’s efforts to develop Quranic work and organize the affairs of Egyptian reciters.
Ahmed Naina is a sheikh for all Egyptian readers
The decision obtained by Cairo 24 stipulated that the Supreme Council for Reciter Affairs be reconstituted, headed by the Minister of Endowments, and including in its membership the following:
- The reciter, doctor, Ahmed Ahmed Ahmed Naina – Sheikh of all Egyptian reciters.
- Sheikh Abdel Fattah Ali Darwish Al-Tarouti, Deputy Sheikh of All Egyptian Reciters.
- Sheikh Mahmoud Muhammad Hassan Al-Khasht – Deputy Sheikh of all Egyptian reciters.
- Dr. Jamal Jibril Farouk Mahmoud Abdel Rahim – former Dean of the College of Islamic Dawa.
- Dr. Abdul Karim Ibrahim Awad Saleh – Chairman of the Qur’an Review Committee.
- Head of the Central Administration for Mosques and Holy Quran Affairs at the Ministry of Endowments in his capacity.
- Director General of the General Administration of Holy Qur’an Affairs at the Ministry of Endowments in his capacity.
The decision stipulates that it will be effective from the date of its issuance, and that the competent authorities must implement it, with the cancellation of all previous decisions that contradict it.
