Dr. Ashraf Sobhi held Minister of Youth Sportsheld a meeting, today, with Engineer Hani Abu Raida, President of the Egyptian Football Association, at the Federation’s headquarters, in the presence of Mustafa Abu Zahra, a member of the Board of Directors, Alaa Nabil, the Technical Director of the Federation, and Mohsen Saleh and Helmy Tolan, members of the Federation’s Technical Committee, to discuss and support the Federation’s plans and programs to create and develop talent and cadres at the level of players, coaches, and referees.

Engineer Hani Abu Rida welcomed the attendees at the beginning of the meeting, stressing the great support that the Federation has received from the Ministry of Youth and Sports during the recent period, noting the importance of joint cooperation between the two sides, and that the meeting comes within the framework of technical discussions to develop the Egyptian football system.
For his part, Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to Engineer Hani Abu Raida and the Federation’s Board of Directors, stressing that football represents a special importance among the Ministry’s priorities, noting the continued logistical and technical support for the Federation, and the cooperation of both sides in the Ministry’s various projects such as the Youth Centers League and the Schools League.
The meeting also discussed technical development plans and programs within the federation, and mechanisms for selecting technical staff for national teams according to clear criteria.
In turn, Alaa Nabil said that there is serious work at the technical and training level in light of the support of the Federation’s Board of Directors, as many training licenses of various degrees and types have been established, as well as talent selection and academies projects, all of which will have an impact in the near future.
During the meeting, Helmy Toulan reviewed the criteria and conditions set by the technical committee since the beginning of its work to select technical staff, in addition to the programs being prepared to develop the football system at various levels.
