A woman residing in the Manshiyet Nasser area submitted a report to the relevant authorities, accusing a famous doctor working at one of the medical centers in Mokattam, of causing a medical error that led to the deterioration of her health condition, and the matter ended in the need for her foot to be amputated.

The author said that she had undergone surgery to install screws in her foot after suffering a fracture a year ago, but the operation failed and resulted in severe pus formation at the surgical site.
She added that the doctor tried to treat the complications to no avail, until one of the doctors later decided that it was necessary to amputate the foot to save the rest of the body from the spread of pus.
The concerned authorities are launching investigations to uncover the circumstances of the incident, in preparation for taking the necessary legal measures.
