In conjunction with “Pink October” month dedicated to breast cancer awareness, the Nabil Ajoor Council hosted a special event in the presence of Priya Dutt, Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Nargis Dutt Foundation, a charitable foundation founded in Mumbai, India in 1981.
The event held at the Council focused on the Foundation’s vital activities, especially with regard to cancer awareness, organizing screening campaigns, supporting patients, and equipping rural hospitals in India.
Priya Dutt begins with this visit to Bahrain and the Ajoor Council a tour she is taking in the Arab Gulf countries to raise awareness of breast cancer in particular, and to promote the “My Hair for Cancer” campaign, which encourages donating hair to cancer patients as part of awareness and psychological support efforts.
In his statement on this occasion, Nabil Ajoor confirmed that this hosting by the Ajoor Council comes within the framework of the social, educational and health role played by the Council, noting the presence of Mrs. Priya Dutt to Bahrain on a visit that constitutes a bridge for communication and exchange of experiences between health and charitable work, local, regional and international.
