A recent scientific study was able to determine the average length of time people live after developing dementia, which could allow doctors to better deal with older people who suffer from brain-related diseases.

According to what was published by the Times Now News website, there are many different factors that contribute to the average life expectancy after diagnosis with the disease, and age plays a major role in this, and the study indicated that survival rates range between two and nine years on average, after the person is diagnosed with the disease.
Experts led by academics from the Erasmus University Medical Center “MC” in the Netherlands found that average survival rates after diagnosis depend greatly on age, and therefore these results enable us to obtain broad benefits from diagnosis, as it provides access to necessary care, support and treatment, and helps people live healthy lives for a longer period.
