Engineer Karim Badawi, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, issued a limited movement of transportation, which included assigning a number of heads of production companies and operations director with the aim of supporting leadership sites with competencies and developing the petroleum work system, and pumping new blood to develop performance in a way that serves the goals of the ministry’s work strategy.

Engineer Karim Badawi, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, accompanied by a number of leaders of the sector, inspected the Cairo-2 Marine Diggers-one of the Egyptian drilling devices of the fleet of the oil sector, which is operating by the Modern Company for Drilling, in Alexandria Governorate in preparation for moving to its new work site to dig the exploratory well Dennis west 1 x in the crocodile concession area off the Port Said coast in the Mediterranean in a depth of water up to 98 A meter, which will be drilled as an oblique well to reach depths exceeding 4000 meters.
The Minister of Petroleum inspects the marine digger (Al-Qaher-2) in preparation for the digging of a new well for the Italian in the Mediterranean.
The Minister stressed that the visit comes within the framework of following up the implementation of the Ministry’s work strategy with the aim of increasing the production of oil and gas, and pumping more investments in the fields of research, exploration and production to meet the needs of the local market and reduce the import bill.
