In the early hours of Thursday, a malfunction struck YouTube globally, causing users to be unable to play videos.
For its part, the YouTube platform announced the solution to the problem that affected video streaming services for millions of users around the world.
YouTube’s official computer revealed in a post on X that users will now be able to play videos on YouTube Music, YouTube TV, and its main platform – without specifying the cause of the problem.
Earlier, according to the Downdetector website, which tracks outages by collecting status reports from several sources, thousands of users around the world reported service outages and malfunctions. The Downdetector website also showed that thousands of outages were reported in the United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia.
