Morocco will host the 2025 African Cup of Nations, which is scheduled to be held from December 21, 2025 until January 18, with the participation of 24 teams.
How is the Egyptian national team preparing to participate in the 2025 African Nations?
The Pharaohs will begin preparing for the start of their journey in the African Cup of Nations next November, during their participation in a four-way friendly tournament in the Emirates.
The Egyptian national team will participate in a closed camp in the Emirates, during the period from 10 to 18 next November, in preparation for participating in the quadrilateral friendly tournament, along with the teams: Cape Verde, Uzbekistan and Iran.
The Egyptian national team will meet Uzbekistan on November 14, while the second match will be held between Iran and Cape Verde. The final of the tournament will be held between the winners of the semi-finals, and the third place match between the losers of the semi-finals will be held on November 18.
As for the second stage of the Pharaohs’ preparations to participate in the Nations of Africa, it will face Nigeria in a friendly match on December 14 in Cairo.
The Football Association confirmed in an official statement that Hassan, the national team’s coach, requested a friendly match against a first-class team, and it was officially agreed to face Nigeria.
The Egyptian national team is seeking to make the most of its participation in the quadrennial tournament, in addition to facing Nigeria, before the start of the African Nations competitions, which it is competing with: Zimbabwe, Angola and South Africa.
