The security services arrested 8 jewelers in the Al-Marj area, accusing them of kidnapping a jeweler and seizing the contract for the sale of a store owned by his wife, on the grounds that he was accused of defrauding them of a large amount of gold estimated at 8 kilograms.

The details of the incident go back to a report submitted by a 39-year-old woman, that 8 people attacked her in her shop and forced her to sign a sales contract for them under threat, then they kidnapped her husband to an unknown destination.
The security forces were able to arrest 8 defendants, and it was found that 4 of them were jewelers and 4 artisans in the field of gold jewelry, and they were in possession of a contract for the sale of the informant’s shop, as well as her husband, who also works as a jeweler.
When they confronted them, they admitted that they had committed the incident out of revenge, after the informant’s husband set up a trap on them and seized 8 kilos of gold from them without paying for it. Then he fled to his wife’s place of residence and told them that he did not have the money, so they kidnapped him and forced his wife to sell the shop as a way to recover their rights. The necessary legal measures were taken, and the Public Prosecution took over the investigation.
