The Directorate of Health and Population in Assiut Governorate organized a free medical convoy, targeting the people of Alexandria El Tahrir, which is affiliated with the Assiut Health Center Administration.

This comes within the plan of treatment convoys organized by the Ministry of Health and Population in all specialties in the villages and hamlets most in need of improving the level of medical services, within the framework of the presidential initiative “A Decent Life”, in implementation of the mandates of Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health and Population, and the directives of Major General Dr. Hisham Abu Al-Nasr, Governor of Assiut, to intensify treatment convoys for citizens, which are concerned with caring for the health of citizens and reaching the villages most in need and include: The convoy provides free examination and treatment in various medical specialties.
During his statements, Dr. Muhammad Zein al-Din Hafez, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health and Population in Assiut, confirmed that the number of medical examinations reached 1,479 patients during two consecutive days in the convoy, in various medical specialties, which include 9 clinics for 8 specialties: internal medicine, children, dermatology, family planning, women, teeth, nose and ears, bones, detection of diabetes and high blood pressure, educational seminars, conducting radiology, referrals, laboratory tests, and dispensing the necessary treatment to patients. While Dr. Marwa Ahmed Hassanein, coordinator of the medical convoys in the governorate, explained that the frequency of the convoy over the two days was for all medical specialties, as the convoy received 1,479 citizens, and the total number of medical tests in the blood laboratory was 75 analyzes and the parasitology laboratory 25, and the total number of normal x-rays was 13 and ultrasound 31, the number of medical reports was 4, and the number of tooth extractions was 29. She confirmed that free medicines were dispensed from the convoy’s pharmacy, which has a diverse list of medicines, for free, in addition to holding 14 seminars over two days for 187 attendees of the convoy’s health awareness and education seminars.
