The local unit of Nasser Center and City, headed by Shawqi Hashem, launched an expanded ration campaign in coordination with the Supply Department, in implementation of the directives of Dr. Mohamed Hani Ghoneim, Governor of Beni Suef, to intensify oversight of bakeries and markets to ensure the quality of services provided to citizens.
The campaign included visits to a number of municipal bakeries within Nasser City and a number of affiliated villages, including Al-Shennawiya, Dalas, and Kom Abu Rady, where compliance with bread production and quality specifications was monitored, and the availability of a sensitive scale and price list in each bakery was ensured.
The efforts resulted in the issuance of 12 catering violations, which included 3 reports for the production of underweight bread, 4 reports for the production of bread that did not meet specifications, and 2 reports for the lack of an inspection record, in addition to other violations that included the lack of a bakery list, the lack of clean dough tools, and the lack of a sensitive scale.
The city’s mayor confirmed the continuation of surprise ration campaigns, in implementation of the governor’s mandates to control markets and ensure that bakeries adhere to the established standards and the quality of bread provided to citizens.
