The Minister of Legal Affairs and the Agency’s Minister of Labor, Youssef bin Abdul Hussein Khalaf, confirmed that the national economy creates more than 570 thousand jobs, while the number of job seekers is only 17 thousand, which does not exceed 3% of the total workforce in the private sector.
The minister explained, in an interview with Bahrain TV, that the Bahraini citizen proved his efficiency and merit in various sectors, locally, regional and globally, pointing to his remarkable presence in the banking, technological, health and medical sectors, along with the rest of the development fields.
He added that cooperation and integration between the public and private sectors, especially with the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, enables the implementation of the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in providing the best job opportunities for citizens, which helps them to promote professional and contribute to sustainable development.
The minister revealed that the Ministry of Labor began implementing procedures that guarantee the presentation of three job opportunities for each researcher for its registered work before the end of this year, in cooperation with the private sector, in a way that enhances the integration of citizens in the labor market, and provides them with multiple options that meet their aspirations, and enhances their role as a basic partner in building a more competitive and sustainable national economy.
