Dr. Khaled Abdel Halim, the governor of Qena, held an expanded meeting with the competent committee to limit and examine the black points that are repeated incidents within the governorate, with the aim of coordinating efforts between the relevant authorities and setting urgent solutions to address those areas, which contributes to reducing the rates of accidents and ensuring the safety of citizens.
Reducing road accidents in Qena
During the meeting, Dr. Ahmed Abdel -Khaleq, Director of the National Emergency Network control center, reviewed a detailed presentation that included all the black points in the governorate and the repetition of accidents in them, and the mechanisms of benefiting from the available capabilities to reduce these points and reduce the risks from them were discussed.
The Governor of Qena directed the Traffic Department to intensify field patrols to follow up the commitment of drivers to periodic maintenance procedures for vehicles.
The governor also directed the competent committee to prepare a detailed schedule that includes black points and the proposed corrective solutions to address each of them to start implementation.
At the end of the meeting, the governor of Qena instructed the Directorate of Roads and Bridges, in coordination with the General Authority for Roads and Bridges, to prepare an integrated vision to design guidance signs on concrete figures, while re -painting bumps to increase their clarity in front of vehicle drivers, calling on citizens to cooperate with the executive bodies in preserving road capabilities, in a way that contributes to promoting traffic safety and protecting lives.
