Dr. Omar Safwat, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Agriculture in Sohag, made a surprise visit to the Al -Ghizatat Association at the Maragha Center, in the framework of the directives of Alaa Farouk, Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, and with direct follow -up from Major General Dr. Abdel -Fattah Siraj, Governor of Sohag, and under the supervision of Dr. Ahmed Essam, Head of Services and Follow -up.
During the visit, the Undersecretary was keen to follow up on the workflow within the association and ensure the availability of agricultural production requirements, as well as the disbursement of fertilizers supported by farmers on their specified times.
He stressed the importance of facilitating procedures for farmers and ensuring transparency and discipline in the distribution of resources, with the need for everyone to adhere to the rules regulating the work.
Dr. Safwat stressed the continuation of the field rounds to follow the field performance closely, and work to solve any obstacles that might face farmers.
He also pointed out that these tours aim to provide full support to farmers and achieve tangible improvements in agricultural services.
Improving the services provided to farmers
This visit comes within the framework of the Ministry of Agriculture’s keenness to enhance transparency in agricultural transactions, which enhances the chances of the success of the agricultural sector in Sohag and achieves a real benefit for farmers.
