The Library of Alexandria, through the Sadat Museum of the Cultural Communication Sector, is organizing the annual competition of the museum on the occasion of the 52nd anniversary of the glorious October victories, on Monday, October 6, from one o’clock in the afternoon until three in the afternoon in the museum hall.

The activities include a comprehensive guiding tour within the museum, highlighting the most prominent holdings and rare documents of the late President Anwar Sadat, followed by the competition contract in which visitors participate, then the awards ceremony for the winners and participants.
In the context of celebrating this national occasion, the Library of Alexandria opens its doors to the public on Thursday, October 9 (the day of the official holiday set by the state on the occasion of October victories), from ten in the morning until two in the afternoon, to allow visitors to see the museum’s holdings, and interact with its activities.
It is noteworthy that the Museum of the late President Anwar Sadat was opened in February 2009, and it includes a rare group of holdings donated by Mrs. Jihan Sadat to commemorate her husband.
These holdings include decorations and nashachelin, press and historical pictures, old newspapers, personal clothes, papers in his handwriting, and records with his voice during the recitation of the Holy Quran, in addition to the suit he wore on the day of his assassination during the military parade in 1981, and his personal passport, along with many other distinctive pieces.
