The UAE expressed its strong condemnation of the bombing that targeted the Al -Da’at neighborhood mosque in the city of El Fasher in the northern region of Darfur, killing and wounding dozens of innocent civilians, stressing that this attack is a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law. In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed the necessity of the parties to the conflict in Sudan to what was stated in the Jeddah Declaration, in order to ensure the protection of civilians, the prevailing of the Sudanese people, and to protect it from the continuous repercussions of the civil war. The Ministry also renewed the affirmation of the established and supportive position of the UAE for all efforts to reach a peaceful solution to the civil war in Sudan, the immediate ceasefire, and the protection of civilians
