A spokesman for the Tunisian National Guard, Brigadier Hossam El -Din Al -Jababli, denied the targeting of a boat belonging to the global resilience fleet by a plane off the Tunisian coast, stressing that this news is “unfounded.”

Al -Jababli said in statements to local media that the preliminary inspections of the concerned agencies indicate that the fire that broke out on the boat caused the fire in one of the survival jackets, stressing that the available data confirm that the accident was not the result of any external attack.
He added that the competent authorities will conduct the necessary inspections to ensure the circumstances of the accident accurately, pointing out that the Tunisian forces have been securing the resilience fleet since it entered the territorial waters.
Targeting the Vamily ship with the resilience fleet
Earlier, the “Global Resilience Fleet” (GSF) announced that one of its main ships, known as the “Family Ship”, was targeted by a plane driving while they were in Tunisian waters.
The fleet explained in an official statement, that the ship that sails under the Portuguese flag was carrying members of the guideline committee, which was damaged as a result of the outbreak of a fire that extended to its main surface and storage places, while all six passengers and crew survived.
The statement stressed that an attempt to intimidate and disrupt our mission will not deter us from continuing our peaceful endeavors to break the siege on Gaza and stand with its people, noting that the investigation is underway to find out the details of the targeting, provided that any developments are announced as soon as they are available.
He called the fleet to follow its official channels on social media to follow up developments, stressing that its solidarity journey continues despite the challenges.
