Yesterday, Wednesday, Syrian President Ahmed Al -Sharaa received the Emirati businessman Khalaf Al Habtoor, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Habtoor Group and his accompanying delegation.
During the meeting, investment opportunities and future projects in Syria were discussed, according to the Syrian News Agency.
The Syrian Investment Authority and the Al Habtoor Group signed the first agreement, and it is a land in the city of Latakia, which extends 12 km on the coast, preparing to be an entertaining residential complex.
A new project for Habtor in Syria
The director of the Syrian Investment Authority, Talal Al -Hilali, said during the signing ceremony of the agreement with the Al -Habtoor Group: This project will be a large landmark that we are proud of in Syria. The duration of the study will be short. We also promised Mr. Al Habtoor and after that work would be directly after completing the contracting process.
Syrian Minister of Tourism, Mazen Al -Salhani, affirmed that Damascus will always be supportive of him in his projects, and we will humiliate the existing obstacles, and we will be supportive of him in all projects.
He added: We must cooperate to build an integrated community, a joint, and an investment environment that embraces all existing and coming investments to Syria.
The Syrian Finance Minister, Mohamed Youser Burniyah, stated: We are keen to provide the environment and conditions for the establishment of investments in Syria, and we promise that investments in Syria be greater than Dubai.
