Experts emphasized that these digital spaces may contribute directly to spreading extremism and inciting violence.
The newspaper registered an escalation in the spread of extremist right ideas within the Internet spaces, which are not subject to full control, and cannot be easily accessible by the public, but it has a tangible impact in reality.
The summer of 2024 witnessed violent riots in a number of UK regions, and these disturbances targeted asylum seekers and Muslims, during which the incident of burning a hotel was sheltering refugees, in a scene described as a shocking and sudden.
Most of these attacks carried out people from the local population, without direct association with the official right -wing organizations, and some of them raised banners saying: We are not right -wing extremists, we are only right, in an attempt to justify the actions and acquit themselves from the political classification.
The press investigation revealed that the digital community, whose members are associated with a common sense of lack of confidence in the government and its institutions, and exchange content hostile to immigrants, based on national conspiracies and false information.
Experts warned that the content circulating in these groups contains extremist contents, and that the continuation of these electronic environments without effective control may contribute to the escalation of extremism and violence within societies.
