Sergey Volopuive, the strategy of exchange markets in Bloomberg Intertevies, expects to continue Egyptian pound Achieving gains against the US dollar during the coming period, with the support of the monetary policies pursued by the Central Bank of Egypt.
Expectations to reduce interest rates by 3% by the end of 2025 .. and the pound’s rise against the dollar soon
In televised statements, Volubouf said that the Egyptian monetary policy is in a strong location, especially with inflation rates significantly declining to settle at about 12% now.
He pointed out that the recent central bank’s decision to reduce interest rates came greater than the market expectations, suggesting the possibility of implementing an additional reduction of up to 300 basis points during the last quarter of this year.
