The National Authority for Human Rights organized an introductory workshop at the headquarters of the General Command of Sharjah Police, as part of its strategy aimed at extending bridges of cooperation with police authorities, and promoting a culture of human rights at the state level. A delegation from the commission headed by Dr. Saeed Al -Ghafli, its Secretary -General, participated in the workshop and dealt with the duties of the independent body in monitoring and protecting human rights, and highlighted the importance of the integration of roles between national and police institutions in supporting joint efforts to enhance human values and consolidate the principles of justice. The delegation of the commission made a field tour that included a number of facilities of the General Command of Sharjah Police, during which he was briefed on the most prominent practices adopted in community service, and mechanisms for protecting rights
