The Minister of Internal Security welcomed the visit of the Minister of Interior, stressing her importance in enhancing security cooperation and coordination, developing bilateral relations and opening more prospects for joint cooperation, pointing to the permanent strategic relations between the two countries, which have evolved over years of close cooperation.

For his part, the Minister of the Interior delivered a speech in which he confirmed that for more than a century, Bahrain and the United States stood together in an effort to achieve peace, stability and joint prosperity, explaining that in light of the wise leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the king of the country, may God protect and preserve him, and His Excellency President Donald Trump, President of the United States, this partnership flourished, rooted in mutual respect and mutual commitment By promoting international peace and security.

He added that Bahrain’s commitment to this relationship was emphasized during the recent visit of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Prime Minister, may God protect him, which confirmed Bahrain’s firm commitment to strengthening the strategic partnership between the two countries.

The Minister praised the achievements of the US Secretary of Homeland Security, which reflects a firm commitment to law, order and national security, valuing the tireless efforts of the Ministry in protecting the United States and contributing to stability and public safety around the world.

He pointed out that the priorities of the American administration, securing the borders, and strengthening supply chains, and strategic alliances, which are fully compatible with the security goals of Bahrain, explaining that from this common spirit, the signing of the memorandum of cooperation that enhances the security of the two countries comes, and our aspiration to join the American visa exemption program, which is an achievement achieved thanks to the confidence achieved through years of close cooperation.

The Minister stressed that the memorandum of cooperation completes the broader framework of the comprehensive security integration and prosperity agreement, and with the United Kingdom joining it, the agreement has become a platform for cooperation in the areas of security and emerging technologies and economic development.

He expressed Bahrain’s aspiration to deepen maritime cooperation, based on the historical partnership between the American Coast Guard and the Bahraini Coast Guard and work closely with the Ministry of Internal Security to maintain the effectiveness of the agreement, its foresight for the future, and its positive impact on regional stability, noting the coincidence of this achievement with a new chapter in the relations of the two countries.

He pointed out that on the first of next October, the Gulf Air Company, the national carrier of Bahrain, will inaugurate its first direct flights to the United States, and will reach John F. Kennedy International Airport, where this vital link enhances commercial and investment ties, increases the opportunities of officials and investors, and will open new horizons for tourism, education and cultural exchange.

The minister concluded his speech by emphasizing that Bahrain is ready to build on this basis, working alongside the United States to pay the initiatives that protect the two countries and set new criteria for partnership, security and prosperity in the coming years.

He reviewed the ways to exchange experiences and information and take effective measures to face challenges and benefit from modern technologies ..
