Dr. confirmed. Mohammed bin Mubarak bin Dinah, Minister of Oil and Environment and the Special Envoy for Climate Affairs, the Kingdom of Bahrain’s commitment to continuing international efforts to confront climate change and enhance multilateral cooperation to achieve sustainable development goals, stressing that the Kingdom of Bahrain is continuing to implement its national strategies to achieve carbon neutrality by 2060.
This came during the participation of the Minister of Oil and the Environment, the Special Envoy for Climate Affairs in the high -level special event on climate work, hosted by the Secretary -General of the United Nations at the headquarters of the International Organization in New York, within the Climate Week 2025 held during the period from 21 to 28 September under the slogan “Power On”, headed Governments and senior representatives of the private sector and civil society.
The Minister of Oil and the Environment added that the Kingdom of Bahrain is working to implement qualitative initiatives in the fields of renewable energy, energy efficiency and sustainable cooling, in order to enhance the flexibility of the national economy, global efforts to reduce the repercussions of climate change, stressing the importance of enhancing climate financing and transferring technology to support the capabilities of developing countries.
