The Minister of Labor, Mohamed Gibran, today, Saturday, signed two contracts with the Italian Salisian Institute in its branches in Cairo and Alexandria, to cooperate for the first time in studying the needs of the local and international labor market, and preparing training courses that those who pass it through certificates from the “Ministry” and the “Institute” are internationally and locally credit.
The minister handed certificates to a number of the first graduates, and an employment forum organized by the Ministry with the Italian Silisian Institute, Don Bosco, opened at the Institute’s headquarters in Cairo, with the participation of 33 companies to provide hundreds of job opportunities for young people.
The Minister inspected the center’s laboratories and workshops, and praised the modern development and training programs that characterize the Salisian, and Minister Gibran listened to a number of graduates and trainees who reviewed their successful experience during the training process, in the presence of Father Mark Helmy, director of the Salisian Institute in Cairo, Father Alejandro, director of the Alexandria branch, and representatives of the Italian embassy in Cairo, Gibran said in a speech to him. Today confirms the continuation of the fruits of cooperation between the Ministry of Labor and the Institute, in the context of implementing the directives of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El -Sisi, President of the Republic, to continue to develop skills and qualification of youth on the needs of the labor market at home and abroad with free grants.

He also explained that the numbers talk about these fruits, and the implementation of presidential directives on the ground, and statistics say that 456 trained with a free grant trained inside the Italian Salsian Institute Don Busco in the Alexandria branch other than the fifth batch that we recently agreed within its training workshops, knowing that the targeted in the first stage of the Alexandria branch only training 800 trainees on Two years on electronics professions, welding, electricity and automatic control, mechanics, air conditioning and cooling, languages and other professions that the labor market needs.
The figures also say that this cooperation has succeeded – so far – in the graduation of 2234 trainees from the Institute’s branch in Cairo from the target of 3134 trainees within two years with free grants from the ministry to train on 28 professions needed by the labor market at home and abroad, with certificates with international standards, in addition to courses in the English and Italian languages, and in life skills. Focusing on future and developed professions.
The minister added that today’s activities are also a new fruit of the fruits of joint action, which confirms that cooperation with the institute with its branches can not be limited to just a protocol, but also extends to a complete and mutual partnership in the vocational training file, from exchanging experiences and common capabilities to develop youth skills on the profession that the labor market needs at home and abroad, and to provide training courses within the institute workshops, as well as the use of experts and coaches of the institute To train trainees in vocational training centers of the Ministry of Labor, grant them international certificates, and the ministry play an active role in providing job opportunities for graduates from the institute or from the Ministry’s training centers, within the framework of an integrated training system for developing human resources skills, and supporting youth capabilities.
At the end of his speech, the minister pointed out that the historical relationship in all fields that link Egypt and Italy, and the political leadership in the two countries is keen to consolidate it, it is imperative that we take a new path towards more joint work with the Salzian Institute Don Bosco in Cairo and Alexandria.
He explained that this ancient institute was established in 1926, to play its role in training and education on professions that the labor market needs, and that the current joint work is to complete the march of that historical cooperation between the two countries in the field of technical, vocational and industrial training, which comes in implementation of the agreement of cultural cooperation between the two governments on January 8, 1959, as well as for the protocol signed between the two countries on March 28, 1970.
