Dr. Hani Swailem, Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation, and Major General Ismail Kamal, Governor of Aswan, conducted a field tour to inspect the Rai Station No. 1 within the Wadi Al -Naqra project at Nasr Al -Nuba Center, during which the leaders of the Ministry and the governorate were accompanied.
This came in the context of the state’s directives to harness all the capabilities in front of small farmers to increase their entry and improve their social and economic conditions, in keeping with the initiative of President Abdel Fattah El -Sisi as a decent life.

During the tour, the minister and the governor listened to a detailed explanation from Eng. Omar Saif, head of the Central Irrigation Administration in Aswan, on the projects taking place within the Wadi Al -Nukra project, which includes agricultural reins of up to 65 thousand acres that are irrigated through 11 main raising stations and a main and sub -network that extends with a length of 145 km, in addition to five villages, which are wisdom, hope, lighthouse, buds and dignity.
For his part, Dr. Ismail Kamal explained that the current stage is witnessing complete coordination and cooperation between the Ministry of Irrigation and the Aswan Governorate and all concerned authorities to maximize the benefit from the available agricultural ingredients and achieve the largest economic returns from the distinguished crops produced by the villages of the Wadi Al -Naqra project, and it is exported to global markets, especially with regard to aromatic plants and other other crops, stressing that the Agriculture Directorate has been assigned to prepare a detailed statement to limit Winter and summer crops and the quality of crops inside and outside the reins, while obliging farmers to switch to modern irrigation systems instead of irrigation by flooding in order to preserve the agricultural patch and water resources and achieve water sufficiency.
The governor pointed out that there is a continuity to confront the violations on agricultural lands, and to launch successive campaigns to recover them, as well as coordination with the Public Authority for Health Care to send medical convoys to serve the people in the villages of Wadi Al -Naqra, and the speed of completing the procedures for transferring dependency to operate the units of wisdom and dignity in a manner that ensures the stability of the provision of health services to its residents.
The Governor of Aswan thanked the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation led by Dr. Hani Swailem and all the ministries and concerned authorities for their relentless efforts to raise the efficiency and maintenance of irrigation stations and provide the needs of farmers from water, as well as support drinking stations to meet the needs of citizens.
He explained that this continuous cooperation contributes to the implementation of periodic maintenance programs, the provision of spare parts needed for lifting stations, and the end of the established ages in accordance with the specified time schedules, while activating technical protection systems to ensure the regularity of operation fully.
