The Minister of Interior witnesses the graduation of the second batch of the Technical Cadres Development Program

The first team, Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior and Chairman of the Ministerial Committee for Information Technology and Communications, witnessed this morning the graduation ceremony of the second batch of the Technical Cadres Development Program, in the presence of His Excellency the Minister of Cabinet Affairs, His Excellency Deputy Minister of Interior, Chairman of the Public Security, and a number of senior officials in government and private agencies.

The program, which is organized by the Information and Electronic Government Authority in cooperation with the Ministry of Labor, is one of the most leading national projects aimed at preparing and qualifying Bahraini competencies in the fields of information and communication technology, in support of strategic aspirations and the economic recovery plan for the Kingdom.

On this occasion, the Minister of Interior, Chairman of the Ministerial Committee for Information Technology, praised the support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the king of the country, may God protect and preserve him, for the development and modernization process witnessed by the Kingdom of Bahrain in many fields, including the digital transformation and expansion in providing electronic services, noting that the directives and follow -up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Prime Minister God, for the national efforts made in this field, contributed to enhancing the position of the Kingdom’s technical sector and achieving advanced ranks at the international level.

He expressed his aspiration to be the technical development, which is reflected in this distinguished program, as a general approach in various government agencies, in a way that contributes to raising the efficiency of work and improving the quality of life in society, indicating that those who wanted to be part of the future must speak in the language of information technology and deal seriously with this development.

He explained that investing in qualified national competencies in these areas enhances the Kingdom’s ability to keep pace with global changes, expressing his thanks to the CEO of the Information and Electronic Information Authority, and stressing the importance of continuing the training and developing the program, blessing His Excellency the graduates and those in charge of the program and all partners who contributed to its launch as one of the most important national initiatives.

For his part, Muhammad Ali, the chief executive of the Information and Electronic Government Authority, presented an explanatory presentation on the program and the efforts made to implement it, noting that it is a strategic step to make national youth competencies in the technical field, equipped at the highest level to meet the requirements of the digital economy strategy.

He explained that the number of participants in the program reached 159, graduated from them (93%) and 100 participants obtained a job in the technical field. 43 participants were also employed within the second batch and 61% of them were employed before completing the program, which reflects the competitiveness, quality of experience and acquired skills, indicating that the program’s flexibility and keeping pace with the specializations that are focused on with the market needs.

After presenting a short video clip about the experiences of the participants in the second batch of the program, the graduates confirmed in their speech delivered by one of them on their behalf, that the program of development of technical cadres is a milestone in their career, it was not just a training experience, but rather a qualitative initiative that combined the strategic vision and practical application, as the program was distinguished by its integrated construction that was based on discreet scientific foundations and practical implementation mechanisms.

The graduates pointed out that what they gained within one year of participation in the program is equivalent to the outcome of years of practical experience in multiple fields, as it has left a tangible and long -term impact, and contributed to enhancing the abilities of graduates in contributing more effectively to the success of digital transformation projects.

The Minister of Interior, Chairman of the Ministerial Committee for Information and Communications Technology, kindly honored the strategic partners from government agencies and representatives of private companies that initiated the employees of the program graduates, in appreciation of their role in supporting the goals of the program and the success of its outputs, as well as honoring His Excellency for graduates of the second batch of the program.
