The Minister of Communications discusses with major American companies to expand their investments in Egypt

Dr. Amr Talaat, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, held a number of meetings with officials of the major American companies during his visit to New York in the United States of America, to discuss the expansion of its investments in the field of outsourcing in Egypt and cooperation in the field of digital capacity building.

The meetings dealt with the competitive ingredients of Egypt in the field of outsourcing, which made it a global center for exporting digital services crossing, as well as highlighting Egypt’s digital strategy to develop the outsourcing industry, and the advantages and facilities it provides to motivate international companies to expand and grow in this promising industry in Egypt.

At the beginning of the meetings, Dr. Amr Talaat held a meeting with John Abu President TTEC Engage, to discuss the company’s plans to expand in the Egyptian market, as TTEC is a world leading company in creating customer experience and services and providing digital customer experience solutions supported by artificial intelligence. The company works through two main sectors, TTEC Engage, which focuses on the processes of digital customers and TTEC Digital, the company’s innovative and technological arm.

The meeting touched on the company’s investments in Egypt and its future plans to expand the size of its operations in information technology services besides its operations in Egypt in the field of international communication centers. The meeting also discussed the prospects of cooperation in the field of digital innovation through its technological arm TTEC Digital.

It is worth noting that Dr. Amr Talaat had opened last February the headquarters of the American TTEC company in the technological zone in Maadi, where the center provides from Egypt various services to customers in multiple destinations, depending on the young Egyptian cadres that are good at several international languages.

Dr. Amr Talaat also met with Palz Tita, Vice President and Director General of Honeywell, the leader in smart city technologies and industrial Tamaa systems to discuss plans to expand the activities of the Excellence Center to provide solutions and applications of smart cities, in the presence of Mohamed Abdullah, the company’s director of operations in Africa.

The meeting witnessed a discussion of the expansion of the local manufacturing of the company’s products from Security Cameras and smart city equipment. Cooperation opportunities were discussed between HoneyWell and Egypt Informatics University in implementing joint programs to build digital capabilities,

Dr. Amr Talaat also held a meeting with Bill Behrens, Vice President of Kraft Heinz for government affairs, during which the company was discussed to expand investment in the field of outsourcing in Egypt.

During the meeting, the company’s officials reviewed its activities and focus on investing in the areas of digital transformation, e -commerce, and marketing dependence on artificial intelligence, and its activities in the field of outsourcing were highlighted through its global services centers in several countries.

Dr. Amr Talaat Jeff Longoria, head of the commercial affairs of the American “Archer” company, met with solutions to risk management and information technology to discuss the company’s plans to expand the size of its business in Egypt and increase the number of its employees, in the presence of Dan Deroza, the company’s marketing and products director.

The possibility of cooperation between the company and the Egypt Informatics University was discussed in preparing specialized cadres to support the company’s plans to expand its operations in Egypt.

The services provided by the Integrated Services Center for the American company “Archer” in Egypt, where the company had chosen Cairo in 2023 to establish its first center in the Middle East.

The company’s officials praised the efficiency of the Egyptian cadres working in the center in Cairo in providing services to the company’s customers, including engineering and research and development services, technical support operations, sales, pre -sale operations, marketing, and customer services in about 10 different languages, in addition to a group of other professional services.
