The meeting of the political committee affiliated with the strategic dialogue between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Kingdom was held today through visual communication, where the Bahraini side was chaired by Ambassador Sheikh Abdullah bin Ali Al Khalifa, Director General of Bilateral Relations at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, while the British side, Thomas Allen, Director of the Gulf Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Commonwealth and Development in the United Kingdom, was chaired in preparation for the second strategic dialogue between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Kingdom and to be held in Later this year.
During the meeting, the Director General of Bilateral Relations at the Director of the Gulf Administration at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Commonwealth and Development in the United Kingdom welcomed the level of bilateral relations that link the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Kingdom, and the progress and growth it witnesses in various fields, stressing the Kingdom’s keenness to enhance bilateral cooperation with the United Kingdom and raise them to more welcome prospects that serve the common interests of both countries and two friendly peoples.
During the meeting, ways of developing the strategic partnership between the two sides were discussed, and ways of joint coordination in various fields, and the two sides exchanged views on many regional and international issues, as this meeting reflected the joint keenness to consolidate strategic dialogue and activate the mechanisms of consultation between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Kingdom.
