The Ministry of Interior affirmed that in the context of strengthening the community partnership and consolidating public safety values, the General Administration of Civil Defense launched an awareness campaign on the occasion of returning to schools, with the aim of spreading preventive awareness among students and parents, through a series of educational programs and activities held in commercial complexes, schools and educational centers.
The campaign aims to introduce students to ways to prevent risk and proper dealing in emergency situations, such as fire and natural disasters, as well as instill safety culture as part of the daily behavior of young people, whether inside or outside educational institutions.
The campaign included the establishment of a mini awareness exhibition that included a presentation of safety equipment, the distribution of educational brochures and brochures, in addition to organizing interactive electronic competitions through the personality of “Ghaith”, the civil defense champion, which received a great interaction of visitors, especially children who interacted with the accompanying activities in an educational and recreational atmosphere, during which souvenirs were distributed on the occasion of the start of the new school year.
It is also worth noting the continuation of the existing cooperation between the General Administration of Civil Defense and the Ministry of Education, through continuous coordination with the Community Partnership Department to provide educational lectures specialized in schools in various academic levels, in addition to participating in events and exhibitions that highlight the role of civil defense in protecting lives and property within the public safety system in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
