Dr. Abdul Latif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, met at the United Nations headquarters today, with Georgius Girapitritis, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Friendly Republic of Greece, on the sidelines of the eighties of the United Nations General Assembly.
During the meeting, the aspects of the close friendship between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Republic of Greece and the development and growth it witnessed in various fields were discussed, and to discuss ways to enhance bilateral cooperation in vital areas of common concern to serve common interests.
The two sides discussed ways to enhance cooperation, coordination and joint consultation during the membership of the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Republic of Greece in the UN Security Council.
The views were also exchanged regarding the developments of the situation in the Middle East region, the war in the Gaza Strip, and to push the efforts to recognize the independent Palestinian state, and issues and issues into common concern on the regional and international arenas.
The meeting was attended by Ambassador Jamal Faris Al -Ruwaie, the permanent representative of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the United Nations in New York, Ambassador Sheikh Abdullah bin Ali Al Khalifa, Director General of Bilateral Relations at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Ali Khaled Al -Arifi, head of the Al -Madar Center.
