US Secretary of State Marco Rubio called on Iran to agree to hold direct talks with the United States, after the reactivation of United Nations sanctions against it because of its nuclear program.
“Diplomacy is still an option, and an agreement remains the best result of the Iranian people and the world. In order for this, Iran must accept direct talks that take place in good faith and without procrastination or disturbance,” he said, calling on other countries to “immediately implement” sanctions against Tehran.
