The police in Norway arrested a 13 -year -old child after doubting his involvement in making a hand grenade and detonating it in a neighborhood of the capital, Oslo, on Tuesday evening.

The resounding explosion occurred in the “Peslet” neighborhood in the capital, Oslo, at 8:43 pm on Tuesday, and no injuries were reported as a result of the accident, near the campus of “Oslo Mitt”.

The British newspaper “Metro” quoted Oslo Police Director of Oslo Police, Aweyvind Hammerold, that the explosion is caused by a hand grenade.

The explosion launched a resonance of emergency alerts on several mobile phones, and pictures of the accident showed an unexploded manual bomb in the middle of the pedestrian corridor.

The police dealt with the unexploded bomb minutes after the attack, and the area was combed in search of more explosive devices.

The Oslo police chief, Brian Scotens, said a minor had been arrested. It was reported that the child who was arrested was born in 2012.

The police suggest that the explosion was the result of a “confrontation between criminals”, noting that several people were involved in the explosion.

Eyewitnesses reported that drones fly over the area, where the residents were asked to stay away from the windows.

Citizen Tina Svigoum, 25, said that she and her housing companion in Bilstidit heard a “huge sound”.

A driver stated that the “violent explosion” caused his car damage while driving in the area.
