Rawan bint Naguib Tawfiqi, Minister of Youth Affairs, participated in the high -level meeting to commemorate the thirtieth anniversary of the World Youth Work Program, held within the high -level week of the eighties of the United Nations General Assembly at the United Nations headquarters in New York, under the slogan: “The World Youth Work Program after thirty years: accelerating global progress through cooperation between generations”, with the wide participation of representatives of member states and international agencies and a number of international institutions concerned With youth and sustainable development.
During her speech at the meeting, the Minister of Youth Affairs stressed the importance of international solidarity for the youth and the entrenched keenness of the Kingdom of Bahrain to empower young people and enhance their role as major partners in national and global development, based on the royal visions of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the king of the country, may God protect and preserve him, supporting the march of empowering Bahraini and international youth, and the directions of the government headed by His Royal Highness Prince Salman Khalifa, the Crown Prince, the Prime Minister, may God protect him, who made the empowerment of young people a major axis in the agenda of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
In her speech, the Minister of Youth Affairs stated that the Kingdom of Bahrain’s youth policy on participation, skills development, promotion of civil liability, and innovation, referring to a number of leading initiatives such as the King Hamad Prize for Empowering Youth to achieve the goals of sustainable development and the initiative of His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Affairs and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports by launching the “Al -Amal” network in 2024, as a leading global initiative It collected 42 members of youth institutions, government agencies and international partners from different countries, to exchange best practices, support joint projects, and provide a dynamic platform for dialogue, youth policies and innovation led by youth.
The meeting program included a set of events and sessions that emphasized the pivotal role of youth in formulating a more sustainable and comprehensive future.
