Today, Friday, the Swiss Bank of UBS raised its forecast for gold prices, noting that the price of an ounce will reach 3800 dollars by the end of 2025, an increase of $ 300 over previous estimates.

A famous Swiss Bank expects the price of gold to rise to $ 3800 by the end of this year

The bank expected the price to reach 3900 dollars by mid -2026, an increase of 200 dollars, and this amendment is due to several factors, the most important of which is expectations for the reduction of monetary policy by the Federal Reserve Bank, which will weaken the US dollar, in addition to the continuation of geopolitical risks.

The bank adjusted its expectations for holding the gold boxes circulating on the Stock Exchange, expected to exceed 3900 metric tons by the end of 2025, which will approach the previous record recorded in October 2020, which amounted to 3.915 tons.

In a note, UBS emphasized the attractiveness of gold, explaining that it recommends investing in it within the distribution of global assets, considering that allocating a single number of gold investment is the perfect choice.

The bank pointed out that factors such as geopolitical concerns, the different policies between the American administration and the federal reserve, in addition to the position of US President Donald Trump in support of interest, are all enhanced by the attractiveness of the yellow metal.

UBS is expected to continue the purchases of central banks of gold strongly, to reach between 900 and 950 tons this year, which is slightly less than the record that approximately 1000 tons last year.

However, the bank added that the main risks that may affect gold prices are the possibility of the federal reserve to raise interest rates in the event of escalating surprises in inflation rates.

It is noteworthy that gold, which is a safe haven in times of economic uncertainty, set its highest record at $ 3.673.95 an ounce on Tuesday, achieving an increase of more than 39% since the beginning of the year.
