Dr. Ahmed Mahmoud Sadiq, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in Qena, announced the launch of the second phase of the activation campaign for family planning and reproductive health within the governorate centers, next Sunday, which will continue during the period from 14 to 18 September, in the centers of Qaft, Farshout, Nag Hammadi, Dishna, and Naqada.

Sadiq explained that the campaign aims to expand the availability of family planning and reproductive health services in the deprived areas of service and for the most needy categories, in order to meet the unparalleled needs of the people of the province, noting that the campaign seeks to improve population characteristics, reduce birth rates, and ensure services reach the beneficiaries in villages and hamlets.
For her part, Dr. Rania Raji, Director of Family Planning Department at the Health Directorate, affirmed the Directorate’s readiness to provide all means of family planning, especially long -acting means, as well as organizing educational seminars to raise awareness of the importance of family planning and spare births, in addition to raising awareness of reproductive health.
She added that the campaign will witness the participation of women’s club supervisors to direct women towards economic empowerment through various activities that benefit the family and society.
