The CEO of the Labor Market Regulatory Authority, Chairman of the National Committee for Combating Trafficking in Persons, Nebras Talib, affirmed that Bahrain, led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the king of the country, and the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Prime Minister, continues to establish its position as a role model in protecting rights, and combating the crime of trafficking in persons, through various efforts that pursue the human rights system And preserve his dignity.
On the occasion of Bahrain, the first category of the US State Department’s report on the classification of countries in the field of combating trafficking in people for the eighth year in a row, Talib raised congratulations and blessings to the position of His Majesty the King of the country, and to His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, the Prime Minister, stressing that this achievement reflects the international recognition of the leading national efforts of Bahrain in the field of combating trafficking in persons, which focuses on organized institutional work that preserves the rights of all.
He pointed out that the Kingdom’s efforts were not limited to developing legislation, regulations and procedures, but rather were keen to develop the anti -trafficking system in people from prevention through proactive awareness, to protection and fairness, while developing mechanisms that contribute to the sustainability of these efforts to keep pace with the developments that occur in the labor market, in a manner that ensures the preservation of a stable work environment.
The CEO emphasized that the Kingdom’s obtaining the first category in this report, which is the most prominent annual reference that monitors the efforts of 188 countries in the field of combating trafficking in persons, renews emphasis and recognition of the international status and trust that the Kingdom enjoys, as a result of its commitment to protecting the rights of the parties to the labor relationship, and perpetuating this culture within institutional work that includes various partners from the governmental and private sectors.
Talib pointed out that this achievement is enhanced by the sensitivity of the growing responsibility, year after year, to continue to work at a higher pace and a greater commitment, to preserve the Kingdom’s entrepreneurial position in this field, and the continued enhancement of international confidence in the Kingdom as a model in protecting human rights and preserving its dignity, stressing that the Labor Market Regulatory Authority, in cooperation with the partners in the National Committee to Combat Trafficking in Persons, will continue to develop initiatives and strategies that ensure the sustainability of this distinction, and keeping pace with Regional and relevant regional developments.
He pointed to the distinguished international status achieved by Bahrain in the field of human rights protection, which contributed to strengthening its position as an attractive regional center for investment, and a favorite destination for businessmen and investors, as well as being a model work environment that attracts employment from different countries of the world, because it provides advanced legislation, effective regulations, economic and economic ingredients that support stability and productivity and respect rights.
Talib expressed his appreciation for the great role played by the Ministry of Interior with the follow -up of the Minister of Interior, Lieutenant General Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, in supporting social and economic security and preserving the stability of the labor market, through permanent cooperation in implementing inspection campaigns, monitoring and documenting illegal practices of all kinds, and referring them to the competent judicial authorities.
He also valued the efforts of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with the follow -up of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Abdel -Latif Al -Zayani, in highlighting the real honorable image of the Kingdom in various international forums, through diplomatic missions, praising the great role of the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain in the United States of America, Sheikh Abdullah bin Rashid Al Khalifa.
The CEO of the Authority praised the role of the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments, the Supreme Judicial Council, and the Public Prosecution in Law enforcement and establishment of justice, stressing the keenness of the National Committee to Combat Trafficking in Persons, which includes representatives of a number of government agencies “the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Interior, the Supreme Judicial Council, the Public Prosecution, the Ministry of Social Development, the Ministry of Information, the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments, and the Ministry of Labor, and the Ministry of Labor, The National Communication Center and the Labor Market Regulatory Authority “, and representatives of civil society institutions, to continue to adopt initiatives and programs that support various efforts, in line with national values and constants, in order to enhance the safe work environment.
