Signing a memorandum of understanding between Bahrain and Egypt in the field of housing and real estate development

In the context of the official visit by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Prime Minister to the sisterly Arab Republic of Egypt, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the government of the Kingdom of Bahrain and the government of the Arab Republic of Egypt regarding cooperation in the field of housing and real estate development, as it signed it on the Bahraini side d. Abdel -Latif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, while it was signed by His Excellency Mr. Ahmed Kajuk, the Egyptian Minister of Finance.

On this occasion, Amna bint Ahmed Al -Rumaihi, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, affirmed that the Memorandum of Understanding will contribute to enhancing bilateral cooperation and exchanging experiences in the housing sector, in line with the Ministry’s plans to develop its mechanisms in providing housing services to citizens, project management and the government land development rights program. Pointing out that the memo represents a motive for more joint cooperation between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the real estate and construction sector in the Arab Republic of Egypt, with the aim of providing appropriate housing for citizens in both brotherly countries.

The Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning and the Ministry of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities in the sisterly Arab Republic of Egypt, aims to exchange experiences and experiences in the field of partnership between the government sector and real estate development companies in providing housing projects and real estate development projects in a way that contributes to increasing real estate stocks and diversifying housing options for citizens, with a focus on the experience of the Kingdom of Bahrain in this field through the program of government land development rights program, In addition to exchanging experiences in the field of systems and legislation regulating this sector, and the procedures in force in both countries.
