A state of resentment witnessed by the villages of Sohag Governorate, due to the increasing spread of electrical bikes known as “scooter”, which has turned from an entertainment method for children to a real threat source of their lives, in the absence of control and the spread of random leasing.

Not only did it be inconvenient or noise, but rather developed into repeated accidents, which resulted in fractures and abrasions and sometimes led to the loss of souls.
The residents monitored the presence of many places to rent a “scooter”, as these bikes are rented for children and young people in exchange for a fee per hour, which they considered “trade without controls” that represent a great danger, in the absence of regulatory laws or actual control.
One of the citizens says: “The issue went out of control … children of a young age rent the scooter from well -known places, and there is no follow -up or control, and every day an expected disaster takes place.”
Another added that: “The scooter has become a trade for some stores, which is leased to children by an hour, and the result is accidents in the streets … and a decisive intervention must be.”
The security services, all parts of Sohag, had previously launched an expanded security campaign that resulted in the confiscation of a number of these bikes inside the villages and cities, which led to their temporary disappearance, but soon reappeared.
The people believe that the crisis will not be resolved with temporary campaigns only, but also requires the development of legal controls that regulate the leasing process, with the determination of the ages allowed to use “scooters”, in addition to intensifying awareness of the danger of leaving children dealing with these means without supervision or follow -up.
