This came during a press conference in New York, where it touched on the high -level ministerial meeting of the “Global Alliance to implement the two -state solution”, which was chaired by Saudi Arabia, represented by the “Arab -Islamic Committee on Gaza”, in partnership with the European Union and Norway, and was held on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly in its eighties.
Prince Faisal bin Farhan said that the meeting comes in the context of the adoption of the General Assembly “The New York Declaration”, which constitutes a historic international consensus on the need to end the Israeli occupation, and the establishment of an independent, sovereign Palestinian state, adding: “This path also witnesses the growing international recognition of the State of Palestine, so that the outcome of the recognized countries will rise to 159 countries, representing the overwhelming majority of the United Nations membership, which confirms that the embodiment of the Palestinian state It has become an irreversible fact with a growing international will. ”
He noted that the meeting focused on converting the “New York Declaration” and the wave of historical confessions into an executive plan with a specific timetable, and practical follow -up mechanisms, including the support of the immediate endowment of the war in Gaza, the guarantee of the unity of the Palestinian land between the West Bank and the sector, and enabling the Palestinian Authority to take over its full responsibilities, continuing: “Saudi Arabia confirmed that it will continue from its Arab, Islamic and international responsibilities to work with its partners to ensure that this path leads To a fair and lasting peace, security and international and international stability. ”
He pointed out that the Arab and Islamic countries explained to US President Donald Trump the risks of Israel’s inclusion in the West Bank, during its meeting with him in New York this week, and said: “Ending the Gaza war will be an introduction to the implementation of a two -state solution, and are involved with the United States to stop it.”
Prince Faisal bin Farhan believes that “the two -state solution is the only way to revive hope in peace, and its implementation is not impossible,” continuing: “We want a life that can be life along with Israel, and we hope that it will be achieved in the near future.”
