Political relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia embodies a unique model in its durability and firmness, as it is based on the foundations of brotherhood, cohesion and unity of common destiny. These relations have formed over the decades a basic pillar of security and stability in the region, and its fruits were reflected in various political, economic and social fields.

For Bahrain, Saudi Arabia represents the bond and strategic supporter in the face of regional and international challenges, while Bahrain is a depth and pivotal partner for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in promoting Gulf and Arab integration. This report comes on the occasion of the celebration of the Saudi National Day, to highlight the most prominent historical stations and common achievements that established the pillars of this exceptional relationship between the two brotherly countries. Relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia are characterized by being relations with deep roots and firm origins, which have been strengthened through the ties of brotherhood and the ties of kinship, as these ties were strengthened by love, cooperation and joint coordination, which contributed to achieving a series of joint achievements and gains that included political, diplomatic, economic, social and humanitarian fields.

The relations between the two countries witnessed important historical stations, the most prominent of which is the fraternal visit of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to Bahrain in December 2016, during which His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, his brother, King Salman and the Medal of Sheikh Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa of the excellent degree “Al -Qadadah”.

In April 2019, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques answered the invitation of His Majesty the King, as the two sides discussed regional and international developments and challenges facing the region, stressing the importance of promoting joint work.

In confirmation of the durability of relations, His Royal Highness Prince Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Crown Prince, Prime Minister of the Saudi Prime Minister, made two important visit to Bahrain, the first in November 2018 and the second in December 2021.

These visits resulted in the launch of 11 joint economic initiatives that included the fields of economy, energy, industry and trade, in addition to allocating Saudi funds about 5 billion dollars to invest in development projects within the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The Bahraini -Saudi Coordination Council is the culmination of the march of historical relations, and it came in implementation of the high directives of the leaders of the two countries to be a strategic umbrella to develop cooperation in all fields, and to enhance the growing partnership between the two kingdoms.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has a prominent strategic and political position at the regional and international levels, thanks to its balanced and moderate foreign policy that it has been adopting since the foundation, as the Saudi leadership is keen to achieve security and stability in the region through joint Gulf action and Arab solidarity, in addition to documenting cooperation with Western and Asian countries, as well as hosting and joining many regional and international organizations.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia adopts honorable stances in supporting Arab and humanitarian issues, foremost of which is the Palestinian issue, as it plays an active role in resolving conflicts through dialogue and diplomacy, commitment to not interfering in state affairs, and besides that, Saudi Arabia continues its efforts in combating terrorism and drying its sources, supporting the joint international action to disarm the weapons of mass destruction, and address global challenges such as climate change, with its continuous warnings of the repercussions of these risks to security And the stability of the world.
