Our country, the Kingdom of Bahrain, stands out as one of the most stable and attractive countries for visitors, based on a strong record in maintaining security and openness. The World Economic Forum recently referred to this distinction, putting Bahrain in the third place in the Arab world in terms of safety, with an evaluation of 6 out of 7 points, according to its report on competitiveness in the tourism and travel sector.

This positive classification came as a result of studied policies and continuous efforts by the concerned authorities in the Kingdom. Bahrain has witnessed a remarkable development in the laws related to tourism and an improvement in infrastructure, as well as highlighting the cultural heritage and enhancing its presence on the international scene by hosting major events, which contributed to the consolidation of its image as a safe and welcome destination.

Globally, the safety element has become a basic standard in determining travel options, often advanced on other entertainment aspects. For example, some major cities in Europe, including London, suffer from a noticeable rise in crime rates, such as thefts and attacks, which was covered by various media reports recently.

These phenomena, which include incidents such as the kidnapping of phones or attacks in public places, have begun to be an increasing concern for visitors.

On the contrary, the tourist in Bahrain feels reassured from the moment of his arrival, and he can move freely and trust without the need for excessive caution. This is attributed to balanced security policies that guarantee stability without affecting the climate of the social and cultural openness that characterizes the Kingdom.

What makes the tourist experience in Bahrain unique is that the sense of security is not only measured by numbers, but also touching on the ground through the behavior of society and the effectiveness of the security services.

Whether in popular markets, or in cultural activities, or while moving between landmarks, the visitor feels that safety is an integral part of the daily experience.

In this context, Bahrain is not satisfied with providing traditional tourism services, but rather provides what can be considered a rare qualitative value in many international destinations, and I mean a sense of real safety.

As the Kingdom continues to develop the tourism sector and organize international sports and cultural activities, it enhances its location as a preferred option for both Arab and foreign tourists.

The Bahraini experience in achieving a balance between societal openness and security stability puts it in a pioneering site that can be followed, not only at the level of the region, but also as a global model in tourism management within a safe and stable environment.

It is an equation that many international cities seek to achieve, at a time when security issues have become a pivotal element in the equation of tourist attraction.
