Today, Tuesday, the Health Directorate in Qena issued an official statement to reveal the details of the power outages yesterday, Monday, from the Specialized Hospital.
Qena Health said in its statement: In the context of taking care of transparency and informing public opinion on the developments first -hand, the Health Directorate of Qena announces that on Monday, September 29, 2025, the main building of the Specialist Hospital of Qaft was subjected to a partial power outage, which affected the intensive care units of the first round, and the nurseries of children prevented in the second round.
The situation was dealt with immediately by implementing the urgent evacuation plan in accordance with the approved medical procedures for such cases, as patients were transferred completely safe without any negative impact on their health condition.
The procedures came as follows, transferring 3 cases of intensive care to the fourth floor card care unit with the connection of industrial respirators, dealing with 11 children with nurseries, where 4 children came out in a stable condition after a marked improvement, and 4 other cases were transferred that needed oxygen to the childcare unit, while 3 stable cases were transferred to the internal rooms with accurate medical follow -up.
The Health and Population Directorate in Qena Governorate confirms that the health status of all patients and children is stable, and that the electrical holidays have been fully repaired, taking all necessary measures to ensure that such an incident is not repeated in the future.
The Directorate calls on citizens to check on the readiness of hospitals to deal with any emergency, confirming its full commitment to providing safe and appropriate medical care for patients at all times.
