Qatar, Egypt and Turkey have urged Hamas to provide a positive response to the proposal of US President Donald Trump to end the war in Gaza, according to the “Axios” website from two sources early Tuesday.
One of the sources explained that while Trump was presenting his plan to the world on Monday evening, Qatari Prime Minister Mohamed bin Abdul Rahman Al Thani and Egyptian intelligence chief Hassan Rashad were presenting her to Hamas leaders in Doha, and they both urged the movement to accept it.
The source also added that Al -Thani stressed that, based on his talks with Trump, he was sure of the seriousness of the American president’s commitment to end the war.
For his part, Hamas leaders assured the Qatari Prime Minister that they would study the proposal “in good faith”, according to the source.
Then Al -Thani met, and Rashad again with Hamas leaders in Doha on Tuesday, this time, accompanied by Turkish intelligence director Ibrahim Qalman.
Plan of 20 items
It is noteworthy that the White House was published on Monday evening some details of the Trump plan, consisting of 20 items, which mainly states the end of the war immediately if the parties to the conflict approved (Israel and Hamas).
It also stipulated that the Gaza Strip be removed from a Palestinian committee with international experts, without any Hamas role.
