With the start of the new academic year, the community commitment is renewed to protect our student children and provide them with the safe educational environment, and from here highlights the role of the joint responsibility between the family, the school and the judicial authorities in preserving the rights and care of the child. The family is the first pillar that protects the child psychologically and physically, as it has to implant in its children the awareness that their bodies have a specificity that no one may infringe on, and they refuse to firmness of any attempt to harass, bullying, or winning from strangers, and to inform directly their parents or teachers when facing any negative position.
The family must also teach its children not to respond to strangers, accept gifts, or accompany strangers, whatever the temptations presented, and cultivate self -confidence and the ability to express their feelings and concerns without fear of punishment or reprimand.
We emphasize the importance of following up children’s use of social media, directing them for safe use and protecting them from e -bullying.
From this standpoint, the role of the Public Prosecution comes as a firm legal guarantee to protect children, as it receives communications related to abuse or attacks, and the firm legal measures are taken against the aggressors on children, and the prosecution also submitted through the Social Research Department and the initiative to care for support and rehabilitation programs for children victims of crime in cooperation with the main partners in the initiative; This achieves the best interest of the child.
Especially since the Kingdom of Bahrain has strengthened this legislative trend through the Child Law No. (37) of 2012, which emphasized the child’s right to protect from all forms of violence and neglect, as well as the law of reform justice for children and protect them from ill -treatment No. (4) of 2021, which established the principle that the best interest of the child is the basis in all procedures, in a way that ensures the provision of a stable environment for the child and its integration in society and preserving his future.
Hence, returning to schools is not limited to preparing school tools only, but is an occasion to renew the family’s era with their children on accurate daily follow -up, and to ensure their return in peace, and note any sudden changes in their behavior or their academic level, and listen to them with listening to encourage them to be frank, and to cultivate a culture of dialogue and mutual trust, to integrate the efforts of the family, the school and the public prosecutor to protect children and build a generation Conscious, protected from risks, and is scientifically and psychologically prepared to be a valid brick in the service of himself, his society and the Kingdom of Bahrain.
