The wealth of Larry Ellson, the founder of Oracle International, which specializes in information technology, jumped about 101 billion dollars after announcing the quarterly results of the company, which included forecasts of 77% remarkable growth in the revenues of the artificial intelligence sector.
The richest man in the world
Thus, Ellison’s wealth amounted to 393 billion dollars, or about 8 billion dollars in the wealth of Elon Musk, who topped the list for nearly a year.
According to Bloomberg, Musk fell to second place with an estimated wealth of 385 billion dollars, and he had first climbed to the top of the standings in 2021, but was later removed by Jeff Bezos and then Bernard Arno, the owner of the LVMH group, before he regained the title last year to keep it for more than 300 continuous days.
Ellison, 81, was raised to second place last July thanks to the continuous rise in Oracle shares, but he was now able to reduce the gap and overcome a mask.
Ellison originated the giant company and held the position of CEO until 2014, when he resigned to take over the chairmanship of the Board of Directors in addition to the position of Executive Director of Technology, and has more than 40% of Oracle shares, the share that represents the largest part of his wealth.
