Higher Education: Opening the door for applying for the first call of the innovation project financing program for the BRICS 2025
In this context, the Science, Technology and Innovation Finance Authority (STDF) announced the opening of the first appeal of the Innovation Projects Financing Program for the BRICS 2025, which aims to finance multilateral innovative projects that support international cooperation between researchers and academic and industrial institutions, and seeks to transfer scientific research results to practical application, provided that the expected results include a preliminary model or a system that is tested in an environment Operating.
In this context, Dr. Walaa Sheta, CEO of the Science, Technology and Innovation Finance Authority, explained that the authority will support the acceptable Egyptian research proposals with financing of up to 10 million Egyptian pounds per project, which covers the costs of the research team, equipment, patents, initial models, scientific publishing, events and travel, indicating that the project duration extends up to 3 years.
It is required that the project consist of an alliance that includes at least two partners from the different BRICS countries, whether from academic or industrial institutions, provided that these projects are based on technology that preceded their authenticity in a relevant laboratory or environment, with a focus on moving towards them towards commercial application.
The joint international team must provide the unified model (Joint Application Form – JAF) no later than November 5, 2025 at 3:00 pm Moscow time (UTC+3) via the electronic application platform:

The Egyptian main researcher must submit the unified model (JAF), the research proposal and the required documents no later than November 12, 2025 on the authority’s website from here.
