Aswan Governorate continues its celebrations of International Tourism Day, which falls on September 27 of each year, under the slogan “Tourism and Sustainable Transformation” launched by the World Tourism Organization for this year.

Major General Dr. Ismail Kamal, the governor of Aswan, has delegated his deputy, Engineer Amr Lasheen, to participate in the activities that were organized in the Marsa Villa temples Square, to the tunes of the Toshki Automatic Arts. The ceremony witnessed a great interaction of tourist groups of different nationalities with Nubian songs that reflect the authentic Aswan heritage. Greeting cards were also distributed in the name of the Governor of Aswan, as well as brochures and various tourist and archaeological brochures, in the presence of representatives of the tourist entities.
The Governor of Aswan stressed that the organization of festive events in tourist and archaeological sites and areas reflects the extent of the mixing of folklore with the global tourism presence, in a scene that embodies the privacy of Aswan as the capital of African culture, and enhances the awareness of the local community of the importance of the tourism sector, and encouraging everyone to participate in making a promising tourist future that reflects Egypt’s bright image in front of the world.
The governor pointed out that the choice of the World Tourism Organization for the slogan of this year is in line with the vision of the Egyptian state and its ambitious plans towards developing the tourism sector, in order to achieve a balance between preserving the environment and enhancing the economic and social return of this vital sector. He stressed that Aswan is going with steady steps towards enhancing its position on the global tourism map, through projects of developing tourism infrastructure and raising the efficiency of services provided to visitors of different nationalities.
