Nissan fell to the eleventh position in the world in the first half of 2025, to be absent from the top ten list for the first time in 16 years, as a result of its financial crises and the reduction of jobs and lawsuits, which negatively affected its performance.

According to the data of Marketlines published by Nikki Asia, Nissan sales decreased by 6% to 1.61 million cars, to be exceeded by Chinese companies such as BYD and Jelly, while Suzuki also outperformed it by 1.63 million cars, ahead of it for the first time since 2004.⁣⁣

The company recorded a quarterly loss of 15.7 billion yen (105 million dollars), with its sales in China decreased by 18%, and its decline in Japan to the lowest level since 1993.

Despite the crisis, Nissan seeks to recover through new models such as Leaf EV and Kicks in America, and N7 EV in China, as well as plans to expand its electric fleet.
