His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa affirmed the Kingdom of Bahrain’s keenness to continue to adopt and implement strategies and plans aimed at sustaining natural resources and protecting the environment in a way that supports development efforts, according to the visions and aspirations of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of the country, and the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
This came when His Highness headed, at the Riffa Palace today, a meeting to see the latest developments in the national plan for afforestation and the “Crimea of Bahrain” initiative, in the presence of a number of happiness with senior officials, as His Highness reviewed a presentation about what was implemented in this regard, praising His Highness the good efforts made by all concerned authorities and national and societal initiatives.
His Highness pointed out that the “Crimea Bahrain” initiative and the national afforestation plan embodies a model of integration between the requirements of development and the preservation of the environment, in a way that contributes to enhancing the environmental balance, pointing to the advanced levels that have been achieved to this day in implementing these plans thanks to the efforts of all those in charge of them and their mastered work in the spirit of the one team, the Bahrain team, indicating that the Kingdom of Bahrain supports all international efforts to confront the challenges of climate change, through Various environmental initiatives and projects, which contributes to achieving the commitment of the Kingdom of Bahrain to reach the carbon neutrality by 2060.
