Dr. Hassan Al -Shaqti, Dean of the Faculty of Commerce at Aswan University, said that the governorate has a distinguished position on the investment map in Egypt, not only for its geographical location as the southern gate, but also for its richness in natural, agricultural and human resources, which makes it one of the provinces capable of attracting major investments during the coming years.
Al -Shaqti added in statements to Cairo 24, that the mining sector comes at the top of the priorities of investing in Aswan, especially since the governorate is full of a huge reserve of phosphate ore, but he stressed that the real added value will not be achieved by exporting raw crude only, but by expanding the related manufacturing industries such as phosphate fertilizers and chemicals, which opens the door for the establishment of factories capable of serving the local market and exporting abroad.
Dates .. a local product with international opportunities
Dr. Al -Shaqti stressed that the expansion of the manufacture and mobilization of dates represents a golden opportunity for investment, especially with the increasing global demand for it, noting that the possibility of building a distinctive brand for Aswani dates competing at the Arab and international levels.
Poultry .. Opportunities for operating and achieving food security
Regarding the poultry sector, he explained that the ingredients are available for the success of large investments in this field, starting from the appropriate climate to the available lands and the strategic location near the distribution markets.
He stressed that investing in poultry will not only contribute to achieving food security, but will provide real job opportunities for Aswan youth.
A message for young people and investors
Dr. Al -Shaqti sent a message to the youth of Aswan and the local investors, saying: The opportunities exist, the promising sectors in front of you, and the state is ready to support you and overcome any obstacles facing you, you only need the audacity to make decision -making and investment.
